Megan Andon is a Licensed Professional Counselor serving individuals, couples, and families. Megan specializes in working with children and teenagers. She completed her Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at St. Mary’s University in 2015. During her training, she provided individual, family, and group therapy to youth in Bexar County Juvenile Detention. While working toward her licensure, Megan worked at Roy Maas Youth Alternatives, serving youth in the foster care system. She then went on to become a program clinician where she worked with youth ranging in age from 6 to 18. She utilizes Trauma Informed Care and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy as a framework when providing therapy services. Megan’s areas of focus and interest include behavioral problems, trauma, abuse, anxiety, depression, ADHD, adolescence, aggression, self-esteem and family transitions. Megan works to meet clients where they are and enjoys building a warm, trusting therapeutic environment. Megan is working toward her Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy certification and is trained is Trust Based Relational Interventions. She hopes to complete her Ph.D. Program in Counselor Education and Supervision within the next 2 years.
